Crew Prayer

Back Home

July 5, 2008 · 2 Comments

I meant to post all week, but hasn’t happened.  I hope all of our blog readers have not disappeared.  Every Thursday in July at Rainier Vista Park we will be hanging out from 1-3pm with the goal of  building relationships with the community teens.  Please be praying for these times.  Also be praying for our team as we scatter a bit this month.  Pray that wherever we are, we will continue to put the things into practice that God taught us through Bigfork.

Thanks for praying

Hey everyone, we made it home.  We’re at RRCC getting ready to lead the service in a little over an hour.  Please be praying as we attempt to articulate all God has done!  This site will still be updated in the next few days as we process everything God did this week!

Sharing our stories

June 27, 2008 · 4 Comments

We had another 8 people at hte park tonight.  It was a good time of just hanging out with several students.  about half had left, when one of the town guys asked if we were sharing testimonies tonight, and said he’d like to share, so he (David) and Jessie shared tonight.  It was awesome!  It was great to hear the stories of a Christian in Bigfork.  This led to opportunities for everyone to individually share stories with one another.  Pray that we will continue to do that tomorrow!  Pray that we finish strong!  We had a great family time tonight with lots of encouragement and lots of our students passionate about keeping this going at home.  Pray that the excitement will stick!

Tomorrow is our last day of sports camp, as well as a community bbq at the park.  Pray for great attendance and good conversations at both those events.

Great Night!

June 26, 2008 · 2 Comments

OUtreach was a huge success last night!  We had 10 students come to the park with us last night, and another 5 joined us yesterday afternoon.  We had an impromptu time of worship/sharing at the park Katie M, Hannah, Adam B, and Brad did a great job of sharing their stories last night.  Many were able to use those as a jumping off point to talk to the teens at the park. Our students are doing a great job of seeking after people to build relationships with.  We have 3 Bigfork locals with us all the time, it’s been awesome to see them be integrated so easily with us.  Pray for us to continue to take the next step and share our faith as well as our lives this week.   Praise God that Sarah and JJ made it here safely!  They have jumped right in and we appreciate them!

Sports camp was a huge success today!  4 kids accepted Christ!  Praise God for that!

Pray specifically for each of us to identify “the One” person we’re called here for.

Pray for our times at the park today, pray that we will continue to be bold.  We’ve come a long way, and our boldness is definately showing, but the week is not over, pray that we will finish strong.

Thanks for praying

Afternoon Rest

June 25, 2008 · 7 Comments

What a great morning!  A ton of energy at Sports Camp and it’s just been a great day.  Some of our students have spent the afternoon hanging out with some locals.  It’s been awesome to see how they’re sharing Christ’s love with them.  Pray for boldness for Hannah, Libby and Elisabeth! to continue to share their faith and for those relationships to continue.  We’ve had 4 locals spend all afternoon with us, and we’re heading out to the park to meet more.  God is working, and it’s been very exciting to see!  Thanks for all the encouraging comments!

Late evening update

June 25, 2008 · 6 Comments

Hey everyone, tonight was a great night.  We hung out with Crossroads’ Youth Group out at their lakefront property.  Brittnie, Elisabeth, Adam E and Bailey did a great job of sharing their testimonies!  Elisabeth’s and Brittnie’s were especially impactful.  We’re starting to make strides with the teens in Bigfork.  Many of them head to the bigger city (Kalispell) to hang out, so finding them has been difficult.  Pray for continued boldnss in our teens.  We had a very powerful family time tonight.  It was a good time of getting everytihing on the table, and really coming together as a group.  Pray for lots of rest!

Thanks to all who have commentd, it’s very very encouraging!

Hey everyone, we’re stitting here enjoying a much needed break before another busy afternoon and evening.  Last night was a good start to our outreach.  We had 2 students who hung out with us most of the day, and are both currently with us hanging out at church.  Pray for boldness for our students to think outside of themselv es and share boldly!  Today we are heading back into Bigfork and then tonight lead the teaching/worship time at Crossroads’ high school youth group. Pray we can encourage their youth group students.

Thanks for praying

Afternoon Update

June 23, 2008 · 3 Comments

It’s been great to get into ministry today.  Sports Camp was a huge success this morning.  We’ve had 33 students show up and many of them are 7th and 8th graders.  We went down to the local park this afternoon and had 2 teens show up.  One we believe is a strong Christian and one is not.  Pray that our students will have the boldness with them as they have become a part of our team. They walked around the town with us and helped invited people for tonight.  We’re meeting at the park again for more of a “formal” outreach time.  Pray for th eweather to hold up and continue to pray for boldness.

Pray for health for our team.  Grace has not been feeling way today and many are tired.  Help us to minister well but also rest well.  Thanks to God for working out all the details!
